Black Doves 2024– Full Movie In HD
Hosted by Graham Norton and starring: Cher/Keira Knightley/Michael Fassbender/Josh Brolin/Jalen Ngonda (2024)
Synopsis
Helen begins a passionate affair with a man who has no idea what her secret identity is. Helen’s employer is in trouble when her lover falls victim to London’s dangerous underworld, and Helen’s employer calls Sam in to protect her. Bingo, the owner of the guitar shop where Sam gets his guns, is played by Rat Scabies, a member of the classic punk band The Damned.
Meet Helen Dawson (Keira Knightley), an ordinary mother of two who is married to a politician, right?
Wrong, she was actually a spy just before she met the politician, and has been giving the country’s secrets to a spy organization called The Black Doves, and they’ve been selling it to the highest bidder for years. Unfortunately for Helen’s boss, Helen has started an affair, and when Helen’s new lover is killed, she sets out to find her killer. As Helen sets out on her mission, she soon discovers that her lover’s murder may be connected to the death of the Chinese ambassador.
I also enjoyed the wit, both Helen and her spy partner Sam (Ben Whishaw) deliver very well
And she also gets into a lot of gunfights (which reminded me of Shoot ’em Up and John Wick), hand-to-hand combat (which showed that she’s not really a damsel in distress), and explosive luck escapes (which will keep you on the edge of your seat.) These great action scenes kept me very interested throughout the series. And I didn’t even find myself getting bored during the flashbacks that showed how Helen got into espionage, as there were some great gunfights in those scenes too. For example, after a freak escape, Helen dislocates her shoulder and has to slam her hand against the wall to get it back in place.
I think it was a bit too convoluted at the end of the series
Sam then says, “That was pretty impressive.” And Helen says, “You should have seen me push two people out of myself that afternoon.” While I was never bored, and I certainly didn’t feel like this series dragged on too long and would have worked better as a feature film, I think the final episode could have been about 10-20 minutes shorter. I understand that they were trying to create a final episode for the second series, but I still think they could have done this because it would have shortened the series a bit. I also think that if they do a second series, Helen’s husband Wallace (Andrew Buchan) needs to be portrayed as a stronger character, as Helen has to sneak around to investigate her lover’s murder throughout the series, but even though Wallace starts to get suspicious, by the end of the series he never confronts her about the cover-up.
No need to waste time scrolling endlessly – here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month
Despite these minor issues, I would definitely watch the second series and would also happily watch this series again and buy it on DVD.
